Ashton Court Pre-Shoot // Charlie + Alex

Ashton Court Pre-Shoot // Charlie + Alex

On Saturday I had the pleasure of capturing Charlie and Alex's wedding day! The run up to the big day was one peppered with weather checks, as it looked like it was going to be just a touch more rainy than sunny and whilst I'm never one to shy away from donning my rain coat and welly boots - when you know it's a marquee wedding you always hope for at least a bit of sunshine at some point! The weather held up and I'm sure we all collectively let out a sigh of relief!  You can see the wedding sneak over on the Facebook page here : https://www.facebook.com/NaomiJanePhotos/posts/764429403729123

I thought I'd show you all a few more from Charlie and Alex's pre-shoot at Ashton Court to keep you going until the main wedding gallery is ready! We met up on Bristol's famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and went from there for a wander in the Spring sun heading over towards Ashton Court, with me coaxing Charlie and Alex into as many blossom trees or bushes as possible! I have to say they were very sporting and really trusted me whether I was suggesting standing as far back into blossom as they could, clambering over fallen trees or even laying down in the grass with Spring flowers popping up around them! I think that shows just what kind of a couple these guys are - they're really up for anything, they've got a great sense of humour and we had a great time getting to know each other. When it came to shooting the wedding day this meant that I was just another friendly face rather than a looming presence with a camera and really meant I could shoot the day as an experience and not as a stranger on the sidelines. It's a huge honour to be let into someone's big day and trusted to do your thing, and it was no exception with Charlie and Alex! Anyway - I'm off topic - so back to the pre-shoot - feeling those Spring vibes!

Keep your eyes peeled for the main wedding blog a little later in summer - you won't be disappointed - it was a beaut of a wedding!
